Well, firstly hi to all dreamers. I'm new here and love this site its truly helpful. I have a question involving work permit. How can an illegal immigrant get a work permit in California if possible. Right now i'm 16 and really in need to earn money. My dad needs to get a medical test done and without insurance and all its really hopeless. So i'm looking for a way i can start earning money. Thanks for the help in advance.

^ Be sure to find waitressing jobs at non-chain restaurants. They're more willing to take risks with hiring undocumented people.

Good luck!

I suggest you work as a tutor or learn some trade that allows you to freelance.

But nonetheless, health comes first. If its an emergency can't you borrow some money first?

Thanks guys for the quick responses. I had the idea that it wasnt possible but asking here is better than not i guess...you guys know a lot here. Anyways, good news is that some charity/foundation agreed to pay completely for my Dad's medical tests so i'm happy in the economic standpoint...not so much in the emotional...but w/e. Well, i have a friend who wants tutoring and his Dad is going to pay me over 20 dollars an hour so i might do that even though its only like once a week. Its still helpful. Anyways, thx for the quick answers. Appreciate it.

^ That's good to hear.

Tutoring and freelance stuff is the best choice right now other than under-the-table work at small restaurants, etc.
Buffets usually hire us.
