Going to San Diego in any method is fine. However, be aware there is an immigration checkpoint in San Clemente, just a bit North of Oceanside. It is a fulltime checkpoint and it is often open. You will need to pass this if you're heading back on the 5North. If you try going around it, there is also a checkpoint in Temecula, CA.

You know what...If I were you, I would not go to San Diego, period. I've know quite a few people that got deported for traveling to San Diego. I would just avoid the trip unless you are going by streets (lol). Personally, I stay north of Disneyland. lol In all seriousness, don't go unless you absolutely have to and have no other choice.

Hahaha, man I know how you feel. I've never been to Sea World, and I've been wanting to go kayaking down there off the coast of La Jolla, but fuck that, I've been through the San Clemente checkpoint several times when I was younger, and I don't plan on going through it again until I get legalized. Granted, they do not usually check the majority of cars. Usually they inspect vans, buses(especially Greyhounds), and just random vehicles that arise suspicion.
