Maybe I've missed it.... maybe I'm blind, but I have not noticed a chat room or a forum to just "chat". Every category is always dealing with dream act, bank accounts, safe travel and driver's liscense. I think it would be cool to just sit down and talk with some of ya'll. I think I kind of de-railed a thread in this section because I found enjoyable conversation with others. (Sorry thread owner!). So why not make this topic our big chat box. Maybe post what we did today, or what we're anxious for (beside's dream act) and get some conversation started?

It's worth a shot.

So where to begin.... As some of ya'll may have seen, I'm a car guy. Love to tinker and tune. And just love hanging with friends too. I've got off until Monday, so I've been hanging with a friend (his parents are out of town) and we've been having small get togethers of fellow Banished Racing Members. Had a good night, a few drinks (Not typical people who try to get smashed.... just a few shots), and had two Xbox's on system link and played a little Halo ODST Firefight on Chasm Ten.... Did pretty good, we survived for like 75 Minutes.

I'm finally back home at my house tonight, missing my girl..... damn I hate that her college is so far away. Wish I could just hop in a car right now and go visit her. But she comes down on my birthday (Feb 12th) which is cool. I'll be 19.... in a way it kind of saddens me... I wanted to be so much further in life by this age.... I swore I was going to moved out by now.... but at least that takes roots in June/July when me and my girl move out together with one of our Banished Racing buddies.

Anyways, can't think of anything else, so how has everyone else's day been... got any subjects you want to talk about.

Cheers,
Travis

Ehh, anything really. If I can sup and tune it, then I'm down with it. I prefer the older muscle cars (GTO and Camaro in particular.... not fond of the Mustangs unless its a Shelby or a GT 500). As you read in the other posts, my pride and joy right now is my GF's ZX2. It's fun and easy to work with.

What about you, you a car person, computer person, or outdoors person... or possibly something i didn't name? Like I do cars a lot, but I've been building computers since I was 11 and got one of my first poems published when I was 10. I haven't really written any poetry lately, and only computer work I've done recently is a lot of trouble shooting and local repairs.

Well me am not into anything specifically just depends, just recently been getting into how computers work and what parts and stuff like that nothing hardcore when it comes it to it. When it comes to cars don't know much but i know the basics i just don't like to work on cars to messy and dirty. What i used to be into a lot was running and wrestling and stuff like that but work and school keep me too busy to still do it. I ran for my college was pretty good. I was doing miles at 4:45 for about 3 miles. I guess my Fav car would be the 2001 Pontiac Trans Am been wanting it for a while but i always hold back because of the gas and other expenses. For now just been wanting to go into the military for the longest ever since i was in HS. How do you like the 2010 camaro??

I love the camaro's, not so fond of the new challengers. They are slow. Raced one in a stock 2007 Grand Prix and all though he did beat us, he was only half-car up on us. Think he was base model thou.... srt-8 would have rapped us. You like Trans ams eh? Then you would probably love the Camaro up here at sunshine performance too. It's completely built up and done up, being sold for 5K. It's amazing and wicked fast.

Don't see the chatroom. You can keep the girls and drugs, I'll take the Rock and Roll thou :P

It's not a trans am, it's a camaro. It's a '99 with a '01 engine swap I believe. Somewhere around 60k Miles. Nothing wrong with it. They wan't 5 or 6K. This thing will throw you back in your seat. Guy got it up to 100 in no time flat. Amazing car, even more amazing price. They are a performance shop, so selling a car cheap isn't un heard of.

So how was everyone's day today? I slept in late, got a call from a buddy, he came by and picked me up, and I helped him install his new transmission into the car. Was hard manevouring the SOB in there. Thing was heavy and at times I was holding it myself while he was trying to thread in bolts.... so I'm worn out. But we got it in there and things went together well after that. Was supposed to sleep over there, but got done way early so he just drove me back home.

Its a camaro, then no man don't deal with them lol... they look ugly. Plus changing the motor and all that stuff means that it won't pass the smog check which means that you got to have hook ups in order for it to pass and that's just too much money.
