My mother was in Los Angeles 9 months pregnant with me but after my dad's family filled her with false horror stories of U.S. hospitals, I was born in T.J.
Yep. My parents split over 20 years ago, and the agreement was that my mother would keep my younger brother, while my father kept me. I don't know what happened but I was brought and dropped off by my dad when I was 4 years old. Now, 24, my status hasn't changed.
I married my high school sweetheart. We broke up 3 years ago, and she refused to help me with my status issues.
I've lived a combined 9 years in Colorado, and 11 years in Southern Cali. My name's Danny.

It's cool. I spent enough energy, feeling heated over it. Colorado didn't allow in-state tuition for me, and I ended up in Cali again. But the living expenses are difficult to deal with out here... and because of that, the available time for me to put into education wasn't as much as I'd like. I didn't have enough study time last semester, and it reflects on my last set of grades...
Anyways, I'm flowing off track... thanks for the welcomes.

My mother also was several months pregnant before she left the US to give birth in Colombia. They always intended to come back. (She left because of complications...) For the longest time I blamed my parents for making the "wrong" decision and "ruining" my chances of citizenship in the only country I've ever known. I've only just recently come to terms with it. Crazy how one simple decision like that has completely and utterly dictated our lives...
