Hopefully we can make in to 60. That's the magic number, right?

I hope you're not kidding here, because it needs 40 co-sponsors for it to be introduced to the floor. Can you check the list and make sure Kennedy is not on there. If it really does have 39 co-sponsors, do you know how close we are to have it introduced?????????? AHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I'm going crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The DREAM Act has already been introduced "on the floor." There is no such parliamentary rule or custom where 40 c0sponsors are needed to introduce a bill on the floor; some bills are introduced with none. Even if you're referring simply to bringing the bill up for a vote, there is no 40 cosponsor threshold.

The most cosponsors DREAM has ever had was 47 in the 108th Congress (January '03-January '05). DREAM was passed in committee that session, but it was never brought before the full Senate.
