I figured I would post this to see how the DREAMers who used to advocate for this bill back before 2007, are doing now. I'm sure some moved to another country, others have become legal through other means, and some are still here. So, for the first generation of DREAMers, what have you been up to now?
I ask this because I remember when my brother used to write/call the senators to pass this bill, and watch him stare at the screen when they had this bill up for vote in 2007. Today, with a college degree, he has a wife and is slowly building his life.
Now that I shared my side of my story, I wanna hear from others.
Old timers should still be around. It's not like it's easy to get legalized.
Heck, I am a legal alien yet I am eying the Dream Act because I have to wait for years(A 7 year wait according to my lawyer) to get my EB3 petition go through, and I don't know if I could stay legal for five and half more years, considering the terrible state of economy with no job security for anyone. Or my petition could get denied.
