So i found this from another forum called adreamact.com. It belongs to a Dreamer in that forum called Dreamer3oh3.

""So I got this email from my lawyer, it's basically comments from other lawyers nation wide and what they are saying about their own cases. I hope it brings you guys some comfort to know we're not alone.

"Having been the liaison for NSC DACA filings, I can say that there are many DACA cases over six months old which are pending for security clearances. Some of those cases include criminal incidents and some do not. Currently NSC will not provide any estimate of when such cases will be resolved."

"I called on 3 cases yesterday pending over 8 months - no criminal issues on any of these - I was told by NCSC that they are in FBI background check and nothing can be done."

"I’m hoping you all learned something at the conference that can help the DACA kids whose cases have been pending forever. I have several of these cases where the kids have some municipal, juvenile, or minor criminal issue and USCIS just seems to be sitting on them. I’ve done the “beyond processing time” calls to USCIS, but the only response is “still processing” Does anybody have any brilliant ideas about how to get these cases moving?"

"All, please continue to share experiences and results of strategies such as Liaison or Congressional assistance -- I've also got a DACA coming up on 8 months and got the same not-especially-helpful response from USCIS once the 6 month posted processing time was exceeded. I bet many of us on this listserv have clients in the same slow boat..."

i dont get it tho , i was in removal of proceedings in eloy detention center , they run your fingerprints as well , and the system is federal , since ice is a federal program , ive been waiting 9 months 20 days so far , if there was a problem with me or my background wouldn't it be picked up when i was in ice ? , or can it be that my name matched up to someones elses now ?

Well out of the many things it can be it could possibly be the name match only or just part of the problem. That's the thing we don't 100% know what the issue is. I guess we can at least say it's a Security Check problem. I had a previous Asylum case years ago so i wouldn't be surprise if i get a Removal of Proceedings letter god knows when, it's pretty much like a Lotto with Immigration.

I don't understand it either. It's not like it takes months to get responses from background checks, especially since most searches are done online. The only thing that I've theorized, is that people have 'common names' associated with some heavy criminals. Otherwise, I don't know. I hope my case doesn't end up in 'Security Check Doom'.

either that , or uscis somehow someway , lost or just simply cant find your packet , there was a guy who got denied supposedly because he didnt meet requirements yet he was a college graduate and met all requirements , he hired a lawyer they were able to have uscis review his case and sure enough got approved ? , that raises suspicion that something is going on right ?

Just when I was in ice detention center, they run my finger prints and one the officer came out said did I used any other name before, then I said No, which is I never used any other name before. They kept asking me for like 5 to 6 times. I kept saying NO...
Maybe this why it's taking longer.

hmm the only thing i could figure in mine is that my name is a letter different from my birth certificate , although for legal purposes ive always given my name out as is in my birth certificate , a letter shy , high school records my name is down with an extra letter , maybe thats the hold up ?

Many people have the same name. Im sure there are 1,000's of other girls with my name. My name and birthday? Im there is. It's a numbers game. The FBI has to clear everyone and they can be very detailed about it. If your name is Jose Perez then the FBI has to make sure that your not the Jose Perez who raped a girl two towns over the town you live in now. Know what I mean? That could be a reason for a delay. Also take into account the officer you get. Some people are good at their job, some are slow and some are bat shit stupid. It prevalent in all fields.
