ok so this afternoon i took my mom to the hospital because she wanted to see a friend of hers. So we went and everything but when were leaving the parking garage, i was driving and some guy was backing up and hit the upper front side of the bumper. He smashed a little bit of the car. It's not a lot. He wasnt looking! It was his fault and he recognized it because he agreed to pay. The only thing is the I quickly said i wasnt going to call the cops because I didnt want to hurt his points with his license and blah. Well reality is that I didnt call them because I was the one that was going to get in trouble for driving without a DL. the guy agreed to pay the damage. He said his insurance will pay for it. So my question is, how does this whole thing work? I have to give my information? The car is registered under a friend's name. Someone told me that his insurance will ask me for a DL, insurance info and stuff but not sure if this is true. Could the person that the car is registered to give his information? please help me. If you know anything about these type of situations inform me! thanks in advance.
