I HOPE HUTCHINSON SUPPORTS THE NOW VERSION 5 OF THE DREAM ACT. BC THE BILL HAS CHANGED SINCE THERE WERE CHANGES MADE WHICH I THINK THEY ARE SHRINKING THE BENEFITS NOT GOOD GUYS BUT THE GOOD THING IT GIVES YOU LEGAL STATUS WELL SEE.

HOUSTON -- The Dream Act is one of the issues Congress will take up before the end of the year, and supporters are making a major push to get it approved.
The Dream Act would provide a path to citizenship for young undocumented immigrants if they either go to college or join the military.
Supporters of the legislation say there are 8,000 undocumented college students in the Houston area, and 2 million nationwide.
Some of those students showed up at a demonstration Wednesday outside the Houston offices of Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison. They were urging the senator to vote for the Dream Act.
"It just makes sense to give these students a chance to give back to the nation they call home," said Pamela Resendiz, an undocumented student at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Senator Hutchison released a statement saying, in part, "The bill before the Senate is not limited to the young people themselves. It extends entry to other family members—even amnesty for those illegally in the United States."
Hutchison said she supported it in the past, but she cannot vote for it in its present form.

I'll take the bill. I don't care. Strip me from in-state, I will be able to obtain a better job to pay for it. I will take any status that doesn't require me to leave any day.

The article says it extends benefits to family members which is not correct according to the S3992.

She put out this statement yesterday, even though she knew S.3992 was the new version. I am calling BS. Hutchison is being irresponsible by spreading misinformation about this bill. I called her Houston office (which closed early yesterday just to avoid DREAMers) this morning and told them how Hutchison looks like a fear-mongering misinformed politician. You should call and b***h them out, too.
