Honestly, I wish they would both pass or at least the DREAM Act would, but I do not believe this is going to happen in 2010 which is really sad as I hate being a prisoner in a small area and really getting tired of this lifestyle I live.I mean, I will likely hang around here until the end of 2010, but who knows what I will decide after that. I am constantly depressed because of how limited my life is in what I can do.

I really had hope until I found out about the CIR and DREAM Act merger. I mean, the DREAM Act has a lot more support even though it is far from a sure thing as compared to the CIR which is basically opposed heavily by many. I just hope I seriously have a better year than 2009...what a terrible year. Perhaps Real ID Act by 2011 which is great news for us all!(I am kidding of course, I know the news are terrible.) A little sarcasm here and there keeps me sane.

Just thought I would get a few opinions/thoughts for this new year approaching rapidly.

I think that if the CIR doesn't pass we will get a lot more support for the dream act... I'm more confident that the dream act will pass...but we need to work hard ...as a group...you know.... we all should go to Washington DC on may 1st ...Keep that those Dreams alive....its too late to accomplish them....

ya if the CIR fails, the dream act is the only hope.... and if that fails, I suggest looking for a new country. And Im not even joking, which is the sad part... ive been thinking about that for a while now... if we hit 2011 and theres still no reform, im not gonna sit around and let my life pass by while waiting for some assholes in washington to let me live.

I'm considering Mexico (homecountry) or Japan after I finish school. Back when I was in high school I had hoped that after college I could go teach English in Japan. At this point I don't know if that would still be possible but I'm going to give it a try.

I heard that Korea is much more generous with pay/housing for English teachers, but apparently Japan has the "cool" factor for a lot of people.

After I get M.S. and no immigration reform or even DA passes, I am going back to Korea and will try to get Ph.D or immigrate to Canada, Australia, Japan or France.

I have been sharpening my Japanese skill quite a while memorizing all the kanjis in words =.= And I understand majority of times what actors/characters say when I watch Japanese animes or dramas. But my goal is to upgrade to college levels.

My French education started like 2 months ago on my own, and but I think I will take a class here in UCLA from next winter quarter, so that it can help me gain that 8 out of 100 points in Canada Green Card Point System. At the same time, I may consider France although French immigration is very tough from what I see online.

Wow, this is an old topic.

I still haven't given up hope on the DREAM.

CIR is not even on the agenda and isn't even scheduled for debate. Read some news every once in a while and get in with the program.
