Got following from e-mail:

Wednesday night, the House passed the DREAM Act by a vote of 216-198.

It's a great step forward for America -- and it wouldn't have happened without the hard work of OFA supporters and allies who have been fighting for this commonsense reform for years.

But the fight's not over yet. And now we face a tougher hurdle in the Senate.

This week, Senate Democrats agreed to briefly postpone the planned vote on their own version of the DREAM Act, and instead to consider the version passed by the House next week. This delay will give supporters more time to persuade undecided senators and increase the chance of passage.

As the DREAM Act comes up for a vote in the Senate, Democrats will continue to show our support for the hardworking youth the DREAM Act would help. They're Americans in every way but their legal status, and they deserve a shot at the American dream. You can help make sure they get it.

We'll be in touch to make sure you know how you can help make this important reform a reality. But for now, we need to continue getting the word out -- can you send the message below to three friends?

Thanks for all that you've done -- and for what you'll continue to do,

Mitch

Subject: Help pass the DREAM Act

Message: Hi,

I'm fighting to get the DREAM Act passed this year because it gives undocumented youth a path to citizenship if they work for a college degree or serve in our armed forces. It's a basic question of fairness.

It has passed the House, but will be debated by the Senate soon. It's incredibly important that as many people as possible publicly declare their support to make this important immigration reform law.

Will you add your name next to mine in support of the DREAM Act?

Its coming guys, make an impact.!!! Call our target list, work for this!!

I can't think of one legislation that Obama has pushed like this through email and social networks that hasn't passed. But we should still be doing our part by calling.

Let's hope this is not the first one that doesn't pass.
