Reid on Senate schedule: 'We need to stay here until we finish'

Inclement weather could postpone a highly anticipated Senate vote Monday on President Obama's tax cuts deal.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said poor weather conditions could keep senators from making it to Washington in time for a 3 p.m. vote on the tax cut deal.

Reid said, in particular, one senator was having difficulty leaving Minneapolis, where a storm this weekend dumped more than a dozen of inches of snow on the area.

A delayed vote could add to an already busy and hectic week for the Senate, which has set a target of Friday to adjourn.

Republicans have demanded a vote on tax cuts precede the other issues before the Senate. Among those issues include the New START treaty and the DREAM Act.

Reid wouldn't commit Monday to adjourning on Friday; he'd said last week that no senators were interested in working all the way until Christmas Eve, as the Senate did last year to pass the healthcare reform bill.

Its a blog, but nonetheless its indicative Reid is working for a vote on D.A, we don't know when, lets continue calling, time to fill up those mailboxes.

Looks like he is willing to stay until the 5th to get this passed.

I'll believe it when I turn on C-Span2 next Monday and I see them working.
