The dream act failed guys. 5 votes short. This is the worst news I have received in my life. I'm crying right now. I can't believe these republicans had no heart for us. I don't know what I'm going to do now. I had my hopes up but they're down again how do you guys feel?

Well, I'm in the process of petitioning for my visa right now. It's just that the Dream Act would've greatly speed up that process of me having temporary relief and the reason why I wanted it so much.

God speed to those who don't have anywhere else to turn to. I prayed, called, e-mailed, and faxed for this legislation and was glad to be in this fight. I don't regret anything.

We need to unite harder than even before and not just a select few martyrs. This isnt about a DREAM anymore, this is about Civil Rights and a country who stereotypes us as "good for nothing illegals" if we really want this we need to tell every beneficiary to stand up and join the movement.

I still appreciate Senators Reid, Menendez, and Durbin for all their work. They have so much faith in us and our potential. It must be just as heartbreaking for them as it is for us. I will forever be grateful to them.

I know right. I can't take my education to another country, it's just not possible.

I've been preparing to hear the bad news for weeks now, so by the time I saw the final votes, I wasn't that depressed. I knew what was coming.

I don't know what's going to happen next. I don't think the DREAM Act will pass anytime soon, so my only option to get legal status is to get married. It's not for me though, so I might have to move to a new country.
