So I passed my road test today and got a provisional license. I though it took about a week or two to get your license by mail, but then the DMV representative told me it would take about two months. I was like two months? She said they had to verify the documents I provided with the government. She gave me a number to call just in case my license took more than two months. I was wondering if anyone else tried to get their license and got the same response?

thats true bro.. well at least here in SC. my cousin just got his work permit (he married a USC) but he is in the process of getting his GC.. but anyways since at the moment he only got that EAD, he passed his licence test and they gave him a yellow paper stating he had a license for 60 days and that the legit ID license can take UP TO 2 months to be mailed out! it took about a month an a half tho,

Hmm that's really weird. For me it's the first time hearing about this. Here in NJ I took my road test on July 9th and that same day I got my provisional license. Like someone else above mentioned maybe it depends on your state.

If you get a paper that says you have a license for 60 days (thats 2 months) and within 2 months you get your actual card mailed to you then what is the problem here? I dont get it...
