I wonder when Sen. Durbin will introduce the Dream Act again. President Obama needs to mention the immigration issue on the State of the Union.

well hes supporting it now for the reason that he will have his seat in the senate for the next 6 years. I think he always supported it since he was one of the first poeple that supported it but he just wasent willing to risk his sit for us, but now that his seat is secured he can now jump back in the DA/CIR wagon without having to worry out about backlash by the people in his state.

It makes sense if you think about it. Risk small backlash from immigration reformists by abandoning Dream Act for re-election. Then after that's settled, back immigration reform while picking up latino votes along the way.

He's good.

OMG..... This is the good news I heard since last month DA votes. We all know nothing is possible without GOP's supports. Only way CIR possible in 2011 is with atlest two of these republicans: Mccain, Graham, Mcconel or Hatch. If we can mange to pull Mccain & Graham others like: Hatch, Lugar, Murkowaski, Rubio, Kirk(IL), Snow, Collins, Brown(MS) and others will line up automatically.

Only thing OBAMA has to do is be calm and stay in center and willing to hear from both side. He also needs to remember not to give any Anti bills untill they suports DA or CIR. If he does that King, Smith will come talk on CIR since senior republicans like Mccain,Graham and other wants to work on CIR. On other side Obama, Mcacin and Graham has to work with Bohener and Mcconel to suport it or atlest let it go through.

Its long way to go but its possible with Mccain and Graham. So lets hope for the best.
