Hello I am a minor in the state of California. My mother is a single parent, after my father passing away 2 years ago. We are illegal, however I have a younger sister who was born here which means she is a USC. I have convinced my mom to let me drive to school or to practice to make her life easier but she is worried that if I get pulled over, the court will find that we are illegal. So here is my question
1. If I got pulled over for driving w/o a license, could it be possible that my mother and I could be deported?
2. If I got caught driving my team-mates around to practice and got pulled over, how much bigger would the consequences be?

To answer your first question I got pulled over a while back when I was 18 since I didnt have a license I got a ticket for no insurance and no DL, when I went to court they never asked me anything on my statues but if you do drive with out a DL in california its 30 days impound and the ticket for no DL can range from 300 to 1,000 dollars not including no insurance, plus the impound cost another 1,000 plus dollars it can total a total of 2grand so if you really don't need to drive it be better to not drive but if you do need to drive please start of by getting a driver manual in any DMV

Driving manual won't alleviate anything, cops would just stop you over anything. Some may do it just to look busy and not get re-assigned to ganglands.
Admitedly, dreamer1234 has a big problem. He/she can't get even an international driver licence. I'd say go to New Mexico since his/her case is really drastic. Showing SOME KIND of licence is better than nothing...

yeah to the first person that responded , a dreamie would never get deported for driving without a license. main thing is the whole geting your car towed and the fine which can result in 1000s of dollars, try to get a wa dl, at least you'll spend the money on the trip up there and not a ticket

This is false...

1. No you won't get deported. Worst case scenario you will get a ticket for no license and the infraction ohh and they will impound your vehicle.

2. You will just have to appear to court or simply pay the ticket.

Source..?? Own experience- I have been pulled over 3 years and only impounded my vehicle once. As long as you drive safe you wont have a problem. Also be careful friday and saturday nights for those "DUI" checkpoints.

Some people have been deported after being pulled over. It really is at the officers discretion.
