I'm planning on going to school there (if I get in). How's racism in LA? Jobs? Life?

I really dont know much of UCLA, I didn't attend there. Racism in LA is low, but then again its everywhere. Life is good, expensive, you can find jobs pretty much anywhere if you know where to look.

Saying that there is no racism in any given area is just plain out ridiculous.

I think discrimination is rampant everywhere but real racism is not that's just my opinion. I live in the LA area and have never been subjected to racism or seen racists.

ucla is dreamer friendly they have a group called ideas great group for undocumented students they also have a scholarship we can apply for its awsome im hopin to be accepted and start this comin fall......so and....another thing well depends on ur luck i guess...i mean about the racism.....i lived in l.a. county all my life a good deal of that time in sunset blvd. and then moved cuz my family and i were just overwhelmed with the discrimination and problems there....we moved to the southbay didn't get much better all my life i have been the victim of discrimination but it seems that el mexicano hasn't so thats great for him u know like i said it depends on ur luck i guess....and i was wondering what is real racism?? discrimination is racism....racism: hatred or intolerance of another race or other races....discrimination: treatment or consideration of, or making a distinction in favor of or against, a person or thing based on the group, class, or category to which that person or thing belongs rather than on individual merit: racial and religious intolerance and discrimination. so those are the to definitions for the words by all means they are joint at the hip.....to make it easy racism=racial intolerance and discrimination=racial or religious intolerance......
