entered without inspection

hi, i entered tis country under a different name wen i was a boy in 1996, and they took tat passport from me, later tat year my uncle went back to my country to get a legal guardianship paper of me. i was wandering is there still anyway for me to adjust my status or do i have to wait for an amnesty? pls any ideas would b very helpful, thank u you very much!

i heard if u have entered over the years, theres some kind of procedure to waive tat process of leaving the country and come back, is tis possible? thank you

Let's be honest to ourselves here, if there is such a magical process, there would be no need for the Dream Act.

If you EWI and not covered by 245(i), you have to go back and apply from your country of origin.

Leaving the states will trigger the 10-year ban.
