My fiancee has had a green card for over 9 years. She got i thru her mother when she was younger. Now she is 25, and we are thinking about appling for her citizenship beforewe get marred. She meets all the USCI requirements but one, which is good moral character (at least we are assuming that she doesn't met it). It's a complicated story. I would like to know if any of you have knowledge on the subject, and obviusly I will talk to a lawyer before any action.

First issue: We live in TX, but while she was visiting Chicago back in 2006 she got a traffic ticket that she never took care of, we are assuming that there's a warrant for her arrest in Illinois, which could cause complications for her record.

Second issue: Back in 2007 her sister (Monica) moved in to her (Jacky) house w/ her housbend (Nick) and his daughter (Ann). Jacky ( My fiancee) got in a fight with Ann (Nick's daughter, not Monica's but Nick's with somone else). After the fight Nick called the cops and created a huge situaction. The cops took the occurance. Nick tried to release to case, but here in TX once a familly violance occurs the state takes over and charges you any ways. So, Jacky ended up having to go to court, over a stupid fight, since she tought it was something unnimportant she let the state chose a lawyer. At court she ended up being charged with Familly violance, assoult with bodly injury, they offered her a deffered adjudication which consisted of 2 years of probation. She took it. Did the two years, which she got done in 2009. But that will pull on a USCI backgtound check.

Third issue: A few month ago she got pulled over intoxicated, and know she is battaling a DWI. The lawyer said they might offer two years of probation or 1 weekend in jail plus 300 hours of community service.

That's her record. Does any body know anything about the "Good Moral Characther" requirements for USCI? I talked over the phone and a few lawyers turn the case down. But I had a couple that said could batlle it, but I don't want to risk it. Any suggestions are highly appraciated.

God Bless

I seriously doubt a traffic violation will exempt her from getting her citizenship, however the second matter I would consult an immigration attorney. Good luck.
