Hi! It's been awhile...

Hi all. I haven't visited this forum in months. A lot of names are unfamiliar, but it's nice to see that it's still lively. I don't see Feenmi anywhere, so I guess a lot of the older members are gone. I haven't really been thinking about the DREAM Act at all lately, so it's a bit of a random visit to this forum out of nowhere. I'm getting the feeling that the DREAM Act is getting no where so far?

Anyways, I hope everyone is doing fine; it's been a though year but I just wanted to happily say that I actually got into a medical school! It seemed impossible financially and institutionally, but I've found that there are always people willing to help and that openness to some degree (to the right people) can always lead to useful resources. Let's all continue to work and study tirelessly! I feel bad sometimes because I don't really do anything "DREAM Act related", but I've come to realize that sometimes you have to take care of your own life first. Now I feel a bit more pressured to make earn some more money and start studying for my next step in life, but hopefully good news regarding immigration will come before I get too far. Remember to be frugal and to be diligent in your studies. My dream is to hopefully open a cute little macaron shop in the middle of Koreatown in about a year; maybe it'll help me live a little bit more comfortably during my future school years.

That's an amazing goal you have of starting a little macaroni shop, I want to do the same with a doughnut/ bakery delivery place..
