Hi Everyone.

I got a traffic citation (driving without license) and now I have a court date in Massachusetts.
I am really scared because I don't know what could happen. This is my first offense and I am really scared.
I know the penalties in MA for driving without a license is a fine. But, can the judge ask me about my status, or why I don't have a license? I have no idea what to expect. If anybody has ever been in the same situation, any help is appreciated.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I have friends who had traffic citation in CT. They had to pay a fine only (no immigration involve). Try to be calm, no panic. I'm sure that you will find answers here later. If I got some answer I let you know.

your fine. I've been through the same thing you just have to pay a fine If you cant pay it you can even work it off with community service.

Well, once I had to go to court because a pot head drove into my car. I was caught without a license and no insurance. I was scared a fuck because my insurances had expired 3 days prior. To make it short, I did not get any fines and they revoked the girls license and they paid for my new car. I think I was just extremely lucky.

The only thing I was asked was?

Why are you driving without a license?
Can you get one? (She suspected I couldn't)

I merely said no, then she said okay you are done.

No ticket, no fine, no community service no nothing.

I love Illinois!

To enter the court, you have to have an ID. This is one of my concern. When I got a ticket (back in the good old day when I still have a DL), I have to go to court and to get in, I need to show my ID. They don't let anyone in without a proper ID. This was in Michigan, I don't know about other states.

I just though about this. I think I showed them my mexican matricular ID. I think you would be fine with a passport too.
