Now I'm all about the Arms Act passing cuz it will benefit my brother, my cousin and me. But I do see the point others make for asking for the full DA or what I consider the only real solution full CIR.

What make my day is that a rumor of a bill that may help some dreamers turns dreamer against dreamer. It only goes to show that we are as heartless as the people who oppose us. I bet few of you have actually help other immigrants just because they needed help. Maybe many of us are in this situation to learn to be better human beings and be less selfish.

I wish they would at least add STEM majors to the ARMS Act, then there's something for the people who chose to go into academia as well. That right there would be the best of both worlds. But we can't complain, anything is better than nothing.

I've been a lurker for the past year, but I just wanted to say that I completely agree. Some of us are just not physically fit (be it through our own nutritional intake or inherited genes) and the STEM requirement would allow the "best and brightest" to get their papers. I've been working on my Bachelor's degree hoping to one day go to an allied health school. If the AA is all we get, I will sign up, but the STEM requirement would save me four years. On the other hand, I've invested 19 years in this country, 4 more years wouldn't be so bad.

I mean...let's not think of people like Dan-el Padilla Peralta (whistles)

It's not enough to prefer one field over another. We need smart college graduates in this country, whether in biology or in humanities.

What I hear after hours of reading the post here is "Just include me and burn the rest of the illegals I will help you fire the oven" Is things like this that makes me lose all hope on the educated immigrants. I would think that given our situation we could be more understanding but we are not.

The bigger you make the eligible group, the less likely something is of passing. CIR has the smallest chance of passing, Dream Act next, then the STEM stuff, then the Military stuff the most likely to get immediate action.

But I think the Military Dream Act is good for one reason....the military dreamers will act with courage and distinction, come back with a chest full of medals, make everyone look good and that will make more reform possible. It helped blacks when they finally got to serve in WW2 and the Irish in the Civil War

People are fucking retarded that's why !

DREAM ACT = 50% OF PASSING

ARMED FORCES = 80% OF PASSING

LEAVE THEM ALONE, LET THEM BE SEPARATE! PASS THE ARMED FORCES BILL
