So, my mother got stopped in a roadblock. I was on the phone and heard the entire thing. This is strike two. And we're looking at coming up with $4500.00 in less than a month to get a lawyer. I usually try to stay positive, but this is a hurdle I don't know if I can jump.

I can't say anything to my brothers. But they realize that something is wrong. I'm just trying to smile through it, but they aren't buying it.

It seriously has me considering whether or not I should just pack up and go back.

Thanks, Ianus.

I'll be contacting one that was recommended by a friend tomorrow. They only take new clients between certain hours and this happened after they closed.

Why can't you tell your brothers? Ask your friends and relatives to see if they can lend you some money.

What's up with these roadblocks and checkpoints? I had never saw one in Michigan and I live 20 minutes away from the boarder.

They're 11 and 13. The oldest has finals, so we're waiting to tell them until they get out of school (2 weeks). I'm going to find out if my aunt can help, but she's in England and I'm not very sure of her financial situation.

It's Click It or Ticket. We had no clue since it's not supposed to start until May 21st. When those campaigns start, she doesn't drive local roads. But, apparently they started it early here.

But what exactly happened? Did she get reported to ICE? Did they impounded her car? Ticket? Give us some details.

The reason I'm asking is because here in LA you would usually just get a ticket, get your car impounded and get it the day after. Don't know how it is in your state.

They let her go, but we had to get someone to pick her up. I've been calling lawyers all day to see what we're facing. But I'm really frustrated because I don't know what's going to happen once she goes to court. No one can tell me what will happen and even though it's in a different county, she's likely to be away for some time.

Keep your head up. The DA or some sort of relief is right around the corner. Hold tight.

Thanks. I'm trying. I really am. Hopefully, I'll get some decent news tomorrow from the immigration attorney we've previously worked with. He's honest and will tell me what kind of situation I'm facing.
