So when I renewed my ID I was asked if I was registered to vote and I said no. The person asked me a couple more questions after this, which I forgot about. He was clicking away on his computer. There were also questions I had to answer on the screen. I know it is part of license/id renewal process to ask about registering to vote in the state of MD, but could the person have registered me to vote? I did not receive any form of voter registration card. I'm just worried about the person registering me without my consent.

If he did try to register me to vote, wouldn't this be perjury?

I don't think anyone can register you to vote without your consent. If that's what they were doing they would have to make it very clear considering they work for the state.

Do you remember if he asked you what your political party preference is?
