Since this forum is getting a little quiet nowadays... let's start some discussion.

I know we won't be permitted int0 the military with this Deferred/EAD document. But do you think that Obama might do something about it? I know this is not the DREAM Act but it's sometimes dubbed as the "Mini" DA.

Well, they might put on this option when they release the application papers and more details. But i don't think it's likely, since they'll have to manipulate some things to let us join without any green card or citizenship - that itself will cause backlash. I can just image some headlines "Obama twists congressional laws to let illegal immigrants join the US military."

Yea but see, when the so called ARMS Act was released those republicans were all for it. Heck even Romney stated that he only supported the military path. But then again you have a point, these are idiots we are mentioning here. They'd criticize Obama on every good and bad issue he signs.

Probably not, I mean how about all of us with college degrees? I'm dead sure they want to keep professionals here!

Don't be so ignorant. You think all of us want to dedicate our entire lives to the military? Even among the US citizens, there are very few who do that. A lot of them get out after some time and start a civilian career. So just man up. They'll probably give you some job in the kitchen where you'll be all safe and cozy.

You also don't have to go straight into armed forces. There are a ton of career opportunities in the military. You can really put a practical degree, like an ops/logistics or an engineering degree, to good use.
