Hey Everyone,
Ok, I need your wisdom to answer and help in answering the following question:

How much do you think is reasonable for a lawyer to charge for filing our forms etc.?

I have a lawyer and he said that he is thinking of charging around $500 plus for the forms and that I should be looking into paying around $1000 (this includes the $465 fee to the government and his fees).

I have known this lawyer for several years, and everytime that I was hopeful regarding the DREAM ACT or if I had any questions, he always answered them without charging me a fee...

I look forward to hearing from you...

Yup no more than 300$ for me. Don't get the lawyer unless you have a criminal record or your case is complicated. There will be free help available throughout the country, churches, counsulates and others.

Try looking at pro bono lawyers if you've got a squeaky clean case and want to feel more secure about your eligibility

It also depends on lawyer's reputation and experience.
