I was wondering

I see DREAMers posting that their G-1145 is confirming acceptance of their applications.

What about rejection?

Does the G-1145 also notify the applicant via email/text if their application is rejected?

I didn't see that specifically on the G-1145 instructions unless I missed it, the instructions seemed to mostly deal with notifying if it is accepted.

I want to believe that the G-1145 notification is just to let you know they have received your application. Now, I don't know what they base their initial acceptance on. ...Anybody?

By the msg in the Notice you will definitely know if you're good or bad.
But IIRC it won't tell you NOID or such msg. I believe you get a letter from the Service letting you know the reasons, ie. evidence, and if you don't comply this will serve as you Notice Of Intent to Deny your case.

On USCIS.gov it will usually just show as "Your case has been transferred to BLAH BLAH department and you should receive notice in the mail etc."

So the next step is the biometrics appointment and then they let us know of if we got approved or not?

In short yes.

Send apps.
Receive 797/Receipt Notice for I821D (Which might or might not have Biometrics Appt)
Receive 797 Receipt Notice for I765 which should have Biometrics Appt if not given on other notice.
Biometrics Appt.
Receive Notice of Approval or Denial and/or Request for Evidence
EAD arrives within 7-10 days.

As to how long this process is REALLY going to take.
Pessimist expect about 1 year.
USCIS hopes for 6 months.
Experts and ORGS expect around 4 to 6 months.
DREAMERS hope for no more than 3 months.

I'm a Dreamer. I hope 3 months but expect 4-5. Thanks for the info, I was pretty confused about what happens next.
