You show up unannounced and you hand in your appointment in the ASC office(after making the line), the Person tending the room will either tell you to GTFO or let you complete the biometrics. He/she may ask for a reason, you have a valid one "I have school on this date" and so on.

Is there a closer office? I think you can go to a different one.

Here in Mississippi, the closest one to me was an hour away in Memphis, TN. I had an exam on the day of my scheduled appointment (Wednesday) so I went in about a week early (Thursday before) and they took me in. I had to wait like 30 minutes though but thats because there were people in line before me. I did it at about 1:00 pm.

Success rate for walk ins is pretty high. Like others said, dont go too early and dont go too late. You can google your ASC and see if they do walkins. People other than dreamers go there also and you can get more info from other forums. I think you will be ok with a walkin. I walked in in NYC after hurricane sandy and they still took me in.

There is only one in Louisiana and it is 5 hours away so I guess Dallas is the closest one for me.

So I just need to bring my passport, that biometric letter and go in and ask to get it done right?

My brother and I are planning to walk-in at the Phoenix ASC this Wednesday, I guess you pretty much show up preferably after 2 pm before 3pm and hope the security guard is having a wonderful day, and you of course have a good excuse.

If you're worried you should go on a Wednesday since that's the day they officially allow walk-ins (so I've heard).
