I'll keep it simple. My MacBook and cell phone have me hooked. It's not just an ordinary cell phone..it's an iPhone. When I'm not on the laptop, I'm using the phone. It's getting ridiculous now. I keep telling myself today I won't use the laptop but I end up doing it anyway. When i wake up in the morning, first thing i do is turn the wifi on so i can fire up Safari on the iphone. On top of that, I'm not even doing anything productive. Waking up after a good 7-8 hour sleep, my eyes still look red and tired. I have to use the computer all day at work too..although there is quite a distance from the monitor and me. I know for a fact my eyes are being affected. Anybody else going through or ever went through this?

It's not bad if you want to use your laptop continually. The concern is that your eyes are being affected. Have you spoken to an optometrist about your vision? Maybe, your devices have a harmful glare?

Lol. Are you going to ge the iPad Mini so you have check the iPhone, MacBook, and iPad Mini? I have the same problem and I also use the computer all day at work, all day at home for homework, if I am not texting then I am on the iPad studying and looking over notes. My eyes are also tired, the other day everything on the computer looked 3d. If you are not in school then just stay off the MacBook, it is just a matter of having self-control.

This is what you call a first world problem. But, yes, my phone is like another appendage.

EDIT: Speaking of Apple, they refreshed a lot of their products today...

I read an article on like a health magazine where they suggested that for every 20 min you stare at the computer screen you take a small break and look/stare at something that's far away. Like let's say for example you're in the school's library look out the window for like 2 mins. Your eyesight is affected by staring at these screens and the eyes do need a little rest.

The best way to fight it is to fill more activities in your daily life and also get away from the house a little. Example: volunteer in places (it will look good on your resume anyways), participate in local teams or clubs. Go hang out at libraries and ur friends house. Limit your computer usage on the weekend.

U are not alone, I hav the same problem too but I am working at it by doing those things.
