SSN Question

So, I got my SSN card after receiving my EAD a few weeks ago, and I was wondering what exactly I could use it for other than to work. For example, I applied to UC Berkeley and a few days ago they sent me an email asking me to update my application with my SSN, or put that I didn't have one. Can I use this SSN for that? Or can I only use it to work?

yes, you can use it for that. you can pretty much use it for everything that requires a SSN. credit card application, apartment application, etc.... you can get your DL/ID. you can open a bank account or update your bank account with your SSN.

just remember, if asked if your a citizen to say no, because saying that you are when you're not can get you in trouble.
