Court today!

I have court today for when I got pulled over due to a checkpoint, lets see how this goes ! ;( no valid dl at the time I was pulled over.

It went good and bad, good that I didn't get taken to jail and bad that I have another court date next month, apparently my court was for suspended license the problem is I've never had a license only a permit, and now I can face up to a year in prison n or a 2500$ bond which us ridiculously crazy cus it's driving me nuts. So now I filled out to get a public defender n help me resolve this, the stupid cop when he wrote my ticket put that I has suspended license instead of putting no valid dl it's such a cluster. I'm praying this doesn't prevent me from actually getting a license.

You'll be ite bruh, just make sure they realize it's not driving with a suspended license but driving without a license which should be less severe.

I know it's more expensive, but you might want to hire an attorney, looks better than getting a public defender.

Yeah we'll I'm going to give the public defender a call in a couple days is when they told me to call them n see what they can tell me n make a decision there cus I have proof of the permit and I've obviously never had a license. ;(

Again, I was told that because the judge won't see you as 'leeching' the system by using a public defender. Just my two cents.

Yeah? doesn't mean you can hire attorney. Also, you should really have it corrected that you had no license and NOT a suspended one. There is a BIG difference man. And if you don't fix that misunderstanding now, its only going to be harder when you try to fix your story later on.
