CA ID and Driver License Expiration date

ive seen many posts about people saying there ID or DL expires on the day the EAD expires and others who say it expires on 2017 2016 and 2018

can you post

when you applied for ID/DL:

did you take a printout or wait until your social came in?
city you applied at:
were you required to show the EAD?
did you have a previous ID/DL from CA or any other state?
did you have a previous social?

any help? lol this is useful to determine how and why some got longer expiration dates

mine doesnt expire until 2018

is it a driver license or ID? on the social security application did you put other or legal alien allowed to work?

just to confirm, they will give us a 5 YEAR license, just like everybody else

nothing on the license either.. (like i read a while back from someone who posted on here that they knew somebody who worked for the dmv and they swore that they would have some sort of classification, there's nothing!!!!!!!!!!!)

I got my DL and ID with out a SSN, but I was told that as soon as I got my SSN to take it in so they could issue the DL/ID card

so you just showed up and told them that you havent been issued a social yet and they let you take the test and do everything and when you take the social they will send you the DL and ID?

I passed my test like two weeks ago and haven't gotten my license. I hope is for 5 years at least.

i went to the dmv today and the lady said that the DL an ID would expire the day the EAD expires. i think the exp date might be might be determined by your social security application. Maybe depends on whether you put legal alien allowed to work? or other? or maybe the person that handles your application. maybe they dont notice that youre a deferred action beneficiary or maybe that your EAD expires 2 years from now. idk, any input from those with both 2 year and 5 year DL please
