They've got to make DA more difficult to obtain.

The House is definitely an issue.

Given that the largest growing demographic in the electorate is comprised by Latinos (the majority of whom support the DREAM Act), however, they'll have to do compromise with DA-supporting Dems if they want to have any chance at all to secure the presidency in the future.

I say DA-supporting Dems because there are some who are not for the Act <_<.

60 votes are needed for cloture, a very important procedural hurdle in the Senate. But as we saw last time, even a solid majority wasn't sufficient.

didn't the DA got passed in the house, and it wasnt put on the senate cause before it was mostly rep. Thus if the rep is mostly dem, then we have a shot of it passing and ofcourse our Bro OBAMA will pass it

Yes, it'll have to go through the house which is heavily republican.

However:

The rules for cloture are decided on by the senate at the start of every senate session. I have a feeling they may adopt a new set of rules this time. Or maybe not.. who knows?
