Got a speeding ticket for going 10 over. I know I know I shouldn't have being speeding, but it was an emergency. The cop pulled me over and asked for a license. Showed him my matricula and he took it and came back and gave me a ticket for no license and 10 over. Have to go to court nov 30. This is a misdemeanor right? Do y'all think anything will happen if i go by myself. I know I'm going to have to pay the fine, but im wondering if there is any jail time or this affecting my approval process and end up getting denied. I got a ticket in feb of this year for having a busted light, but paid a lawyer $100 to show up for me but don't feel like paying a lawyer this time.

just go to court and tell them to give you some time to get your DL, and see what they say, i dont think this will affect you in any way because this was after applying for DACA,you did ur bio already... so no need to worry. and some states dont take traffic tickets for a misdemeanor, ask at the court.

What state are you from?

I got pulled over a couple years ago for passing a red light and no license (I was also speeding like 15 over but they didn't write that down on the ticket). Anyway I went to court and the judge told me I had to pay $500 for the red light, $500 for no license. That was it. Nothing else happened and they didn't fingerprint me either. I'm from California.

Chill! Everything's gonna be alright! It's just a traffick ticket pay the fine and that's it! It will not affect your application process! I had 2 traffic tickets and 2 misdemeanor for driving without a licence! I was approved!

So I live in in Orange County, CA.

If I got pulled over for anything, doesn't matter what and i dont have a license, but the car was registered in my name. What would happen?

Is it even possible to register a car under my name if I only have a passport?

It depends. I have heard some people convincing the cop to let them have someone with a.license pick up the car so that they dont impound.it. Some officers will just impound it. Regardless, you will get a ticket.

And yes you can own a car if you dont have a license. I have 3 registered to my name. I also live in Oc. Laguna beach.....

In California, it will get reduced to an infraction. You should plead not guilty and wait till you get a license.

So , passport will suffice to register vehicle under my name?

When a car gets "impounded", do they take the car right there on the side of the road and leave me carless?
