Can I face Criminal charges?

I got my EAD 2 weeks ago and I am going to talk to my employer so i could get my ss fixed at work.

I'm just going to tell him the truth, i dont care if he fires my, i just want to start from scratch doing the right thing.

Could he report me to the police/ice for lying on my application?

Very very rare for that to happen. He can fire you because you lied on your I-9 application, yes.

I guess about the fake social that he was using... But it shouldn't be a problem changing it

No it won't! There's other people that have lied about having a social and they get PR even Citizenship! Now if someone in power has beef with us DREAMers....better watch out!

Yeah, changing your social will not affect you changing your status later on. If you got approved for DACA and you were working, then they already knew you had a fake SSN there. (:

Just tell them that due to some immigration changes in ur statue u need to change ur SSN that all, they don't need to know ur live storie

I know right? So many people freak out about small shit. No one needs to know your personal life unless they are family or close friend you trust. I've seen many posts similar to this one. ALL freaking out about changing their S.S or updating it. Are you people not creative? If you dont want to disclose your private info then just make up a white lie. I mean some of you have already LIED about your status and even used fake/ forged / stolen S.S numbers so whats one more? ?????

Say this: I need to change my S.S# for personal reason regarding a case of identiy theft I experienced and to be safe the S.S.A adviced me that getting a new number would be my best option. PERIOD! People change their S.S # for many reason.
