App received today...but I think there might be a problem.

Maybe I'm just being overly paranoid but I wanna know if anyone else did this. On the I-765, under question 1 I put "SMITH John Doe", instead of putting SMITH under last name, hitting space then putting "John" under "(First)" so on and so forth. Also, under place of birth I did sort of the same thing, only I put down "Mexico City, Mexico". Anyone know someone else that did this?

i remembered i encountered this problem, but after thinking about it i put my first name right under First Name, my last name under Last Name and so on... I dont think it's such a big deal so you should be ok

I didn't start thinking it would be an issue until I decided to look at sample I-765s today (why I did this after mailing my application I will never know) and they were all filled out with the names/information directly under the corresponding part of the question.

i think your fine. I don't think that will be an issue. the people who check the applications are humans, not machines so they will realize that

I guess you're going to have to wait about a week or two for your receipts too see how they put down your name

Okay so on my receipts it shows John A. Smith without my second last name. Is that how it's going to appear on the EAD card?

You could tell them error you made at the Biometrics appointment and see where that leads you.

It depends my receipts came like that. In my bio appt the lady that did them added my last name manually in the computer and in the 797receipt. My ead came with both.

in my bio appointment letter it shows as follow: John Doe Smith but without the second last name.

same thing happened with me, but i am still not approved!~
