I'm assuming your friend graduated high school in order to enroll in that college, therefore yes; he/she is fine.

I think he is saying his friend is taking the English as a Second Language classes. Does your friend fit all the other requirements for DACA? When did he arrive? How old was he? Did he attend high school?

So, he never attended high school here. Did he come here just to work?

Q7: If I am enrolled in an English as a Second Language (ESL) program, can I meet the guidelines?
A7: Yes, in certain circumstances. You may meet the guidelines only if you are enrolled in an ESL program as a prerequisite for your placement in postsecondary education, job training, or employment and where you are working toward such placement. You must submit direct documentary evidence that your participation in the ESL program is connected to your placement in postsecondary education, job training or employment and that the program is one of demonstrated effectiveness.

He will have to check with an attorney because educational guidelines and programs are different in each state and each school. Since we can't see his paperwork we can't give you a 100% answer. We can only refer you to were you can find that answer.

Yeah best to check with an attorney. I haven't heard of anyone applying with no GED no hs diploma and in a class in college. You need to tell us more info.

If he can't afford an attorney try a nonprofit legal center or immigration organization.

I think as long as your friend's type of classes meet the USCIS guidelines that FlyinAgainstTheWind posted and he can provide proof of enrollment, he should be ok.
