Also dont ask WHY I want a gun. Don't worry I dont plan on shooting anyone lol I just like guns.

I've been looking into it and everywhere it says that you have to be at least a Permanent Resident.

Yeah wouldn't surprise me if NC/Most states require LPR/USC. I'd like to take some classes and own a hand gun.

I haven't tried, but I'm sure you can. All they ask for is an ID.

I made a thread about this a couple of months ago. No you cannot own a firearm unless you are a permanent resident or citizen. And this is per the ATF's website.

I would also like to add to always comply with all gun laws to the T. Because any infraction with a firearm can mess with your naturalization process later on (assuming you plan on doing it).

You know most of us get our work permit and want to go to find a job and/or go to school, you on the other hand want to get guns.

But short answer is no, you're not allowed to have guns. You can get away with purchasing one but you ever get caught there goes all or any chances you had to become a citizen.
