Calling uscis customer service

When you call the automated system asks for your case number.
I call and it doesn't recognize the case #... Is that normal?

yep, that's because you don't have a case # ... you have an alien #...

if you do then my apologies.

just say you don't know it, and talk to a representative.. they'll ask you some questions and help you out.

Did you enter the number wrong perhaps ? Since they assigned the number it should be in the system.Are you able to check your application online ?

Please share, if you anything new about your application.

Because when I called, all they said was that it is in initial review, and nothing has been updated since Aug or Sept.

I don't know if it will help any but you have to dial the letters too when you enter the number. And you do that using the assigned numbers to letters.

If all else fails, just push to talk to a rep
