Prior EAD?

I heard somewhere that they are taking longer to issue my EAD because I had an EAD before this, a few years ago. So I guess it makes things more complicated? Could that be a reason? And don't spout some shit "oh stop being patient". I am being patient, I'm just curious as to why it's taking a while.

I have a previous ead. I was just approved today. I think it depends on what type of case you have. Mine was from mid 90s and it has been administratively closed since then.
