Hi Everyone -
I am getting married on May 9th, 2015 and my fiance is a U.S. citizen and I am a DACA recipient. Has anyone gotten married since getting the work permit authorization? I was born in Mexico, so I wonder if my finance were to sponsor me, do I still need to leave the country? Please share any experiences with becoming a permanent resident as a result of sponsorship by your U.S. citizen spouse.

Thanks!

How did you enter this country? Legally or illegally?

Hmmmmm....it would be difficult to adjust your status, are you protected under 245(I)?

You will need to get a lawyer, your case will be difficult to do it without one. I didn't use one but that's because I had a visa when I came to the US at age 2.

My sister is getting married to a us citizen, and she came in illegally. She went to a lawyer and he told her she would not have to leave the country because our mom filled out form 245.
