Yes, I'm from Mexico, my name is Luis, I was brought to Phoenix, AZ, when I was 11 years old, now I'm 19, and I live 10 minutes from Washington DC, life as an undocumented student really is difficult, but I try to make the pain go away by reading and informing myself about great icons of history who have succeeded against their obstacles. I'm not sure of my profession for the future, I wanted to attend Virginia Tech or George Mason University, as you may know, without in-state tuition it's quite a feat to go there. I have been away from school for almost 3 years now and I feel the need to go back. I've always excelled in school and in the future perhaps I plan to be an artist or become an economist, I do plan; however, in the distant future, to return to Mexico and enter politics. I will do all in my power to rise up through the ranks in politics and see if the experience of education and life can guide me to improve my country, so that my sons, and the sons of my sons don't have to go through an ordeal like the one I did, just to have bread on the table.

Welcome! Glad you found us. Young, kind and noble...until economics takes a hold of you. Many great Mexican economists in the area of Money Theory. Try The Wealth of Nations by Adam Smith and Capital by Karl Marx, see what you get out of them. They are huge books so it is going to take you a life time to read them but oh so worthy!

I'm also a new member to this forum. I'm 23 years old born in Mexico but raised here well I've lived here for 22 years now. It sure makes me feel better to know I'm not the only one in this situation (not that I'm happy either but it is a relief) and find support from all other forum members too.
