So many years later I am still asking myself, how did Hillary Clinton become a Senator from New York? Seriously.

For all the Dem mania we had a Rep governor for 12 years and a Rep mayor since 1994 until Bloomberg's recent coming our of the Independent closet. I seriously think those were the only reasons why this city is even half functioning today.

EDIT: BTW, why would you come here? You still can't work.

Yeah, seriously. That "only welcoming Democrats" thing kind of pissed me off. Funny how Mayor Giuliani was the one to make NYC a sanctuary city [ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5m0jgZsaT98 ] yet everyone screams that only Democrats are pro-immigration.

Bah.

^fix the little bracket at the end of the link

LOL, Rudy from his toupee days...haha

I watched the vid response to that from Lou Dobbs and it said that Rudy renewed the law to:

"allow illegal immigrants to receive medical attention, send their children to public schools, and cooperate with the police without the fear of being deported"

And now I'm pissed off again.

Honestly, for any trolls that are here and for any American ignorant of the situation: WHAT DOES IT SAY ABOUT THIS COUNTRY TO DENY ANYONE THOSE THINGS?

We find mercy for murderers and rapists, we give them trials, we give them food and water. We find mercy for suspected terrorists, even for people that shot American soldiers. We send BILLIONS in aid to every corner of the world for education and medical care and yet there are people here who wish to deny ANYONE these things? That is truly sickening. I say that because I love this country and it makes this country look backward and third-world and I hate that fact.

This has NOTHING to do with citizenship or legality or politics or being Republican or being Democrat, those are simply universal rights of human beings and I don't think any person in their right mind, even uneducated or angry, should EVER deny those things to ANYONE.

To tell a parent that his sick child can't be treated...
To tell a child that he or she can't be allowed to learn...
To deport someone for helping others or for aiding justice by reporting a crime...

Those are things no country should do and it is an absolute human catastrophe that things like that can actually happen.

^^^^^ Definitely.

Then again, we are "criminals" according to these people. Compassion is only given to the American citizen that gets piss drunk and gets hit with a DUI remember?

I rather have no DL than leaving California. I really love California and not because it is all democrat. NY looks really awesome but it looks really harsh with all the straight lines and mute colors. Maybe if I go once, I would see how awesome it is and re-consider but for now it is a nay. Extremes scare me a little, too many democrats or too many republicans always make me feel dizzy. I don't like a dominant point of view just because then we do not wonder if the other side had a good point. I was talking to someone about the california DL and he told me yea, some people just don't get it. Gray Davis in the last desperate moment passed AB540 and attempted to pass DL for every California resident. They were going to have a border of a different color and DEMOCRATS block it. The poor undocumented workers were going to be single out by the police and it was wrong for California not to allow the use of the DL as identification. Ask undocumented people if they mind a DL that was only going to be useful to drive. The issue with immigration is that regular sensible people work really hard to push for a bill and once it gains some momemtum some crazy idealist organization feels it is entitled to use the points earned by others to push for their own ideal version of the bill. I was so angry at the people that wanted to take the military part of the DOD. They never pushed for the Dream Act but once it was on the map they felt they had the right to bargain on it. I am really disturbed by extremist groups and their all or nothing attitude while people are suffering because no one is relief.
