Just watching this right now and they're talking about just one amendment right now and it's taking forever. I don't know how they're going to go through all of them.

It's supposed to take forever and they're supposed to be crazy/scary. They intend to use amendments to kill CIR.

Even though some are not so far fetched (DNA testing, zero assistance), the rest are a bit too extreme, especially the in-person interviews...imagine trying to interview 11 million people in a 'reasonable' amount of time??

Yeah its a lot of people, btw the 11 million thing, it can't possibly be true they have been presenting that number in the media and everywhere since the Bush era and Obama has deported 1.2 million plus however many Bush deported and the people that have just left the country because of the recession. I'm not saying there isn't a lot of us here I know our presence is strong, but why throw around that number maybe if it was a smaller number the Republicans wouldn't fight so hard to make CIR disappear.

It's a fight. No need to give up hope now. It just started.

Yeah, I guess its just so discouraging to see how the Republicans are just trying to make everything impossible. I thought that the last election would motivate them to be more open minded about Latinos but it seems like they forgot!
