On Biblical Attacks

Ladies and gentlemen,

We just got trolled, USAMom, and she pulled a Bible quote to attack us.

She quotes Jesus who said that one would know a good tree by its fruit. I think it's a pretty unintelligent thing to say since that applies to anyone in the world. Heck, it can point to the entire USA as a nation!

I think we should take the opportunity to talk about the Bible and stuff so we can become literate. Topics include: Why do we need sacred texts? How should a modern audience read ancient texts and apply them to daily life? How did we get the "Old" and "new Testament"?

Ignorance about these issues gives birth to users such as USAMom.

I banned her immediately. I wish I could have welcomed her to Earth too. What disturbs me more is this fanaticism with Christianity among the far right conservatives. They use it as a tool to exalt themselves and brand everyone outside as sinners and criminals.

Well... this was ridiculous, it was obvious that she/he came in LOOKING for negative things... otherwise they would have noticed the GREAT stories and comments in this forum. I WISH Oprah, senators, etc... had the time to read them ...

Those people that are always pulling the bible on you are always the ones that do the worst things... like trying to kill the dreams of thousands of young ppl... SHAME ON HER!!!!

Ha we all know even the devil himself quoted scripture when he tempted Jesus in the wilderness. Anyone can quote scripture.

Please, you could draw an argument for literally anything from the bible. From incest to murder to tyranny, it's all in there.

She is lying lol, nobody came here to read anything. Seriously do you know how many online forums there are??? Besides one or 2 bad posts by daflyboy doesnt reflect on us.

That was their mistake though. They raised themselves up to the point where they mixed in religion, but now with the Craig and Vitter scandals they've lost face.

Although USAmom was quite crude in her comments, I think we do over do it ourselves a bit. We do make rude comments that are unnecessary at times. I think we should express our opinions, but not so offensively. We like to make these funny comments that we find comedic, but we do need to stay focused.
