Welcome Jose, say hi to the kids for me you should definitely get a lawyer due to your possible misdemeanors (I personally don't think they are, but I'm no lawyer) good luck on your application and welcome to the forum!

If you have a question about a particular issue, feel free to PM me, I will gladly help you out.

Yo Jose, I'm from Chicago. Lots of us from this forums helped each other out filling our applications and were there throughout the whole process....most of us got accepted last year. Not sure why took you so long to apply. First, this isn't the DREAM Act...it is deferred action.

Well .when i was a teenager i was kinda wreckeless on my h.s years,,
Got married at 16.. worked from 5 @m to 4pm attended night school from 5pm to 9 pm..
When i was a credit away ,i was dropped from school.due to being late and previous suspensions ,from my past years..
So dissapointed i just continued working..
When i heard about diferred action.I was so dissapointed i had quitted school..
Until now that i started digging ,thru the forum i saw tgat if i get my ged or enrolled in school. i can still apply..

Hi Jose! My situation was very similar to yours. I dropped out school during my senior year in high school because I had to work to help mom pay the high cost of living in California. Since I didn't have high school diploma I got enrolled in continuing adult education to finish my high school. So, when DACA was announced I wasn't finish yet, I was still in the process of completing. I talked to school counselor and she encouraged me to apply right away but I didn't wanted to. I was embarrassed to tell about my misdemeanor. I waited until all my units were completed then felt much confident applying for DACA. I had to hire a lawyer, I didn't want to take a risk due to my criminal history; I got so happy when my lawyer gave green light on my folder and I recently applied for DACA. As for now, just waiting and checking the mail every single day, very anxious to get my biometric appointment.
Now, I totally recommend you to do what I did. Earn your adult high school diploma or GED before applying and hire a lawyer to get you through the process . I hope I got to help you a little bit.
Good luck

In my experience, filling out my DACA application was a lot easier than filling out a college application.

If you cant even figure out where to print out the application I think you should go to a lawyer.. Because you're gonna end up messing something up and getting denied.
