Thinking about purchasing dental insurance. Have not been to the dentist is decades and it is time for a cleaning or routine check up. Anyone can recommend one that is affordable and ideal for routine check ups, cleaning/whitening, and scaling?

Would love this info as well.

My family has history of bad teeth. I have lost a total of 6 teeth so far and yes, I do try to ensure I keep my teeth clean. Dental coverage would definitely help with maintaining the rest of the teeth I have left. lol

The office i worked at offered one jere you pay 1 yearly quote it was $105.00 for 1 person...
Your basic cleaning was $65.00 and white fillings varied from 95.00 and up....
Hmo insurances give you a free cleaning andfree alloy fillings you dont want that. They will still quote you for white fillings for avout $100.00 and up....
If you have a PpO u get better tx bcuz the dentist gets $ from your insurance.
Now if you have periodontal disease it will b more pricey for your cleaning because they hve to scrape all that stuff off your teeth .
Fl u should get a partial

I have very few days left before I can enroll for benefits with the company I work for. I need to see a dentist as well but not sure if my companies insurance will actually benefit me. ugh so confusing.

that is awesome that you get to enroll before 3 months... usually jobs give a 3 month probation theeeeeen they present you with the benefits.

have you in the past have had a lot of cavities? if you do get them more often than not, yes get it... but like i said most insurances only give you a free cleaning 2 x a yr.... BUT it can come in handy if you have an all of the sudden emergency tooth ache or if you have a periodontal disease and need more than 2 deep cleanings a year...
if its not too expensive, i would opt for it. but do some math, like if you're going to pay 10.00 a month and a cleaning without insurance costs 90.00 (then they may discount it because you dont have insurance)....

That is too expensive for just cleaning. It's better if you whiten them with 44% Carbamide Peroxide.
