Ok so I am looking into building a community to help my local community on things they might need, or need help out with. It can be regarding the language, or anything yes anything. So what is something you or your parents sometimes need help with ? Why am I looking into this ? Because I want to be able to help out others and create great relationships with our people.

It can be anything ( Like they say listen to what people need)

Green Card would be nice...Basic Human dignity...freedom, etc.

Seriously though, getting access to banking, English classes (though SOME immigrants from certain countries *cough* *cough* are less likely to want to learn it than others *cough* *cough*), transportation, medical care, etc. would be nice.

Get rid of language requirements for occupational licensing.

I am 100% against this. It's impossible to work with others if you can't communicate. It's also wrong to give preference to another language over others.

Why not start with education? So many high school students don't know that there are ways to go to college and getting assistance (depending on the state). You could have little workshops to get kids together. You can also educate them about ROP programs that maybe their high schools have. These are free while you're in High School and they help guide you in what kind of career's you're interested in. When I was that age, google was my best resource and I had to find things out on my own. I can only assume that there are still students in this same situation.

Help start school supply drives so you can gather packages for those who cannot afford this for their children? I use to do this with my church group.

As far as language, you can offer night time English classes?? See if any churches have free rooms where you can hold these. Maybe get together some friends who speak other languages to help

Even if these seem like small ideas, they can really help someone out! Wish you the best!
