I hope I am not breaking any rules by posting in this forum.

I am an immigration lawyer who has passed the Board Specialization Exam for immigration law. I came to this country at a young age and became an immigration attorney because I remember the positive changes my immigration lawyer made possible in my life.

I have been practicing exclusively in immigration law since 1996 and have a very good reputation in the legal community. Currently, we have a position open at my office for someone who is interested in developing a career in immigration law with our office. We have many clients who are Spanish and Mandarin speakers, of different backgrounds from investors, business executives, scientists, to the disabled, cooks, individuals fleeing persecution, and yes, Dreamers.

We are looking for someone who can empathize with people who are struggling with their immigration status. The ideal candidate should be bilingual in Spanish and English, and care about issues relating to immigration reform. Good logical reasoning and English writing skill is required. We are looking for a team player. Someone who can communicate well with others and will put in the extra effort because they know that every application can affect the destiny of another person. Law degree is not required. We do require, however, a person with good moral character and a willingness to learn and improve their skills.

This is a permanent position. There will be a 45 day probation period. Compensation will be competitive, equal to or exceeding the prevailing wage for similar positions. If you are interested, please email me a copy of your resume to: [email protected]

Thank you for reading my post.

Very nice ^^. I'm sure there quite a number of people in here that would definitely fit your requirements.

So is there any room for growth, benefits, tuition help, etc. or are you just looking to exploit other immigrants and dreamers by exploiting another one?

Well, one of the lawyers that screwed us over (we had 2 until we found a decent one) Used to keep a guy from my old country in the office next door whose job was to make us feel welcome and for us to relate to him. I mean he spoke the same language so we thought surely a guy who speaks our language isn't going to do something wrong is he? Well, he did.

Not sure what the Dreamer angle has to do with a law-firm here myself, but I'm always a bit suspicious of what he has planned for the Dreamer clients. "Oh look, this guy is a Dreamer just like me! I can trust this lawyer!".

Never, ever trust a lawyer. Especially ones that rely on markets artificially cut off from the general competition by other factors... like language, for example.

I deal with lawyers and law students all the time. They are some of the nastiest, arrogant, and retarded people in general.

Some are cool though.

Just to be clear, I don't want to defame this particular lawyer in any way. He could be a great guy. I'm just skeptical - that's all.

One of my best friends is a lawyer and I used to go hang out with him in law school back when I was a wee community college student starting out and it was pretty inspiring to go to the law school after hours and watch him swipe his card to get in and at 10 PM on a Sunday, there would be a half dozen of his fellow students in their little booths studying and surfing the net on Windows NT machines and T-1 lines (I know I'm old, but trust me, back in the AOL's 28.8K modems, that was pretty bad-ass).

Apparently, a lot of law schools keep their sections together through-out their entire time there so there was a ton of drinking, partying, and sexing with each other also. A couple of other friends of mine are lawyers too though not as close as the guy above. Both are pretty liberal but I don't talk to the other one anymore because she was kind of bat-shit crazy with her personal life and constant badgering of me that I should get a better lawyer and she has this first year immigration friend who wants to help me and she was saying DACA could help me despite my insistence that I was too old for it.

I've also met a few lawyers on random online dates with funny results. One was kind of weird where she'd act interested but then back out. A few months later I got a text from her saying she started her own firm and if I knew anybody who needed immigration help to let her know...pretty funny because she had no idea I needed help.

Another one was bat shit crazy. She flat out asked me if I had a green card on the first coffee date because "I ain't looking to give no guy a green card".

Had better luck with a couple of others but I'll keep this g-rated.

With my own immigration lawyer, I run into him out around town. He likes his women, but he's really good. He deserves to have fun.
