Hello

My boyfriend and I were planning on going to Boston in October. I was about to get tickets for Greyhound, but then I read all these articles on how there are random immigration checkpoints. So I opted for Megabus.

My question is: What are the chances of him getting caught by immigration if we travel by bus?

He came to this country illegally when he was 5 and has never gotten a visa or anything. We are in the process of getting married and sorting this all out, but that won't be happening for a while.

I've take the Nyc to Boston route before on megabus. No immigration checks at any time. Megabus itself is pretty lax about checking id as long as the ticket itself is valid.

Be sure to avoid the buses that go to Toronto though for obvious reasons. That's only an issue for routes going to philly though.

Enjoy your journey!
